Today was a red day. I primed a couple panels with red acrylic and went to town. I'm trying to accumulate some paintings to post while I'm gone in April and May. My husband and I are going to Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago- 500 miles! We'll also spend a little time in Portugal. I'd like to have enough paintings to post ahead every 3 days or so. That may be overly optimistic. We'll see....
Wow, that is an extraordinary vacation! You will be bursting with ideas when you get back! And you will be able to eat anything you want because you will walk it all off...so great, I hope you have the best time.
ReplyDeleteThis has such a lovely warmth! I especially like the orange slice that is peeking through the red bottle.
ReplyDeleteGreat painting! Love the orange showing thru the red bottle, the bits of red ground peeking thru, and the color you chose for background. So much to love!
ReplyDeleteThis painting is alive with color and energy! An exciting gem !
ReplyDeleteLovely painting, Layne. What a great trip you have coming up. I'd like to squeeze into your backpack.
ReplyDeleteAmazing trip--have a safe and wonderful time. Love this one as all the others.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors and great energy!
ReplyDeleteReally great! That red ground peeking through adds a lot of warmth and energy to the painting. The translucence of the red bootle, revealing the slice of orange is particularly well done.
ReplyDeleteAnd your trip sounds terrific! Hope you have so much fun!
