Asian paintings at Thoa's Restaurant in Seattle

Well, it's been a long time since I posted anything on this blog! I've been working on a series of paintings inspired by our trip to Asia in February and March. The main themes have been market vendors and monks. I had a show at the Open Door Gallery on Whidbey Island , which was a great venue. They have retained a few of the paintings for sell in their shop adjacent to the gallery. My latest venue is Thoa's Restaurant at 96 Union Street in downtown Seattle. They will display the paintings indefinitely (to decorate the restaurant) and they will be for sale. I will replace them if/when they sell. I plan to hang the paintings on Wednesday, Sept. 23. I'm afraid I don't know how to label the paintings, nor arrange them as I'd like, so please e-mail me if you would like more info. And....please visit Thoa's!

Introduction

Hi All! 2009 arrives, and I make one more attempt to participate in the computer age by finally creating my own blog. Since I no longer have gallery representation for my artwork (my gallery closed), I thought this could be a good format. Initially, I am posting pictures of paintings that will be available at my charity art sale the weekend of January 24th and 25th. All of the proceeds from this sale will go to either Red Cross, International Medical Corp, or Harlem Childrens Zone. After that, I don't know.......this blog will evolve as my art evolves. What will happen is anybody's guess......
