"Peaches and Plums"

These black plums are the perfect shiny foil for fuzzy peaches. Today I bought some little dark purple plums that will get thrown into the "prop bin". I'm thinking of pairing them up with black eyed susans....
Your most recent work is incisive and your forms are economically yet fully chiseled to reveal fullness. Something here reminds me of 17th century Dutch still lifes. Some day I look forward to seeing what you do with a more distanced and more populated table top still life. Keep up yur good work.
