I had finished this painting and, as is often the case, I looked at it and thought "something's wrong and I can't put my finger on it". I finally decided that the blue cup was too intense and was the wrong shade of blue- not purple enough. The "proper blue" needed to be more pale to proudly sit alongside its companions. I repainted the cup and titled the piece "Pale and Proud".
This is very nice with your colors. I like the composition, too. The reflections are beautiful. Just a lovely painting!
