This is the first painting I did from a little higher perspective. I also fit the whole composition on to the canvas rather than cropping. I'm not sure that I like painting so tiny. As you recall, these are only 6" square to begin with, so the cup,saucer and spoon are all pretty tiny. But then there are people who paint detailed images on miniatures surfaces.....I'll never be one of those.I got this lavender vase and I am challenged by color schemes that work with it. This is an obvious one, using complements. I'm going to play with others.
