Meet my new grandson, Ryan Andrew Sandberg. Currently he's fascinated with his "jumpy seat". I hope to paint him at least every year as he grows up. I envision a row of these paintings in his room. They will probably cause him extreme embarrassment in his teens and be relegated to a closet. In the meantime I hope they provide some pleasure to him, his parents and others.
Very sweet and a great idea! Ryan is going to love this - and his parents, too!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! The expression is so natural for that age. Really nice job.
ReplyDeleteLove it Layne! So colorful and expressive! What a great idea to paint one every year!
ReplyDeleteLove this Layne! Congratulations! What a treasure the paintings will be. He has got one talented grandma!
ReplyDeleteThis is the absolute cutest. Love the expression.
ReplyDeleteNEVER will this be relegated to a closet! Not only is it a sweet painting, it's a really GOOD painting! Great job on capturing that 'baby stare'! I love the black background on the top, too.
ReplyDeleteHandsome grandson, Layne. His eyes a full of sparkle and interest. A painting each year will make for a priceless collection.
ReplyDeleteWow Layne. Great painting. SO hard to paint babies.
ReplyDeleteHe will love these paintings.
Congrats on your little bundle of joy!
