Lee was a semi-distant relative, but close friend of my husband's (I loved him too). He was a quiet and unassuming man who had an interesting background as a cowboy and steel worker. He succumbed to cancer recently, leaving his devoted wife behind. I painted this for her.
This is such an awesome painting Layne. May be my all time favorite of yours. The light on him is amazing. What a beautiful gift.
