This weeks DPW Challenge is to paint from a specific black and white photo, making sure the values remain the same as in the photo. I took the easy route, staying with a fairly monochromatic color scheme. It's much harder to determine the relative values when you have to contend with multiple colors. I think I may try that later this week.
Ahh, but it's wonderful just the way you did it!
ReplyDeleteI like how you handled this challenge, with monochromatic. Love how you did the background outside the window. I haven't tackled this challenge yet - I'm hoping I can find an "easy" route with it! LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat job Layne! Your brushwork makes it !
ReplyDeleteWonderfully done, Layne! The flower focal point is great.
ReplyDeleteI love this painting. The loose brush strokes of the window are very expressive and beautiful. The color scheme is moody and mysterious. Great work.
ReplyDeleteUne jolie peinture et un challenge réussi.
ReplyDeleteBisous
Beautiful, Layne. Lots of cool color and then the red! Nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of this one. Very appealing.
